Works on Canvas
My paintings on canvas are either painted with acrylic or water-soluble oils, and mostly done Plein Air. For me, painting in these two mediums is tactile and feels almost three dimensional. I enjoy using tools that “move” the paint; palette knives, plastic cards, sticks, my fingers… There are unique properties to these paints that I enjoy. Specifically, acrylic paint dries almost on contact, so layering is a breeze. Water soluble oil behaves and finishes like regular oil paint, with a satiny, glowing presence, yet cleans up with soap and water.
