Zentangle-Inspired Paintings

I often add ink lines and shapes atop my watercolor or acrylic paintings. It gives these paintings a more abstract feel, and the black enhances the color. This technique is “Zentangle inspired” because it uses some of the principles of Zentangle but does not strictly adhere to the “code”. I do bask in the Zen aura when I am doodling however. Each painting grows on its own, and the shift from the original to the final iteration is a lovely surprise. Another way I believe a painting will paint itself if you can get out of the way!
